Recently, I attended several webinars and seminars on Windows 7. Business users have a lot to gain from the new features available in Windows 7. Systems administrators have even more to gain when using Windows Server 2008 or Windows Small Business Server 2008.
The caveat to Windows 7 is the hardware compatibility. In my previous post, I provided links to Intel and AMD site to check if the chipset on the computer will run XP mode. XP mode is a virtual layer of Windows XP SP3 that allows end users to run applications in this mode for compatibility purposes. XP Mode comes with Internet Explorer 6.0 to ensure legacy applications that require this version are still available.
